About Me 

Hello! I am Tarun Vijay Anand, a first generation golfer from Irving, TX and a high school junior at the University of Texas at Austin HS, who's pursuing his dream to play college golf. I started playing golf at the age of 6 and  strongly believe that this game has helped me develop the rigor, discipline, perseverance, and patience to face any challenges in life. 

Besides golf, I hold a very strong base in studies as I understand the importance of having a good education. I am an avid music lover who practices both Western and Indian Classical music for the past 10 years. I play both western style piano and Indian style keyboard. Learning music has profoundly helped to keep my composure and stay calm while playing in golf tournaments.

My ardent desire is to give back to the community that has given me a great foundation to build my future upon. I serve as a student volunteer at the local library in Irving, TX and also in a non-profit organization which promotes philanthropy, cultural preservation and diversity.
